Wakefield RISC OS Computer Club Meeting on Wednesday 7th August at 7.45pm X-Ample TechnologyPaul Reuvers is the Director of X-Ample Technology (XAT) in The Netherlands. For many years, XAT was the Dutch representative of Computer Concepts (CC) and later also the official Acorn distributor. Over the years, XAT developed presentation software, hard/software for television subtitling, teleprompters and sports events, medical applications, databases, etc. With the arrival of the Iyonix, USB was brought to RISC OS and Paul wrote USBinfo and developed a generic HID driver. In this talk, Paul will give an overview of his involvement in the Acorn/RISC OS world from the early 1980s to the present day. Apart from developing software for the platform, Paul still uses RISC OS on a daily basis for a variety of applications, including web design for one of his other passions. If possible, he will give a brief demonstration of a piece of RISC OS software that is currently under development. This ‘virtual’ meeting is open to all, and will take place using the Zoom conferencing service using our regular meeting credentials. Zoom invitations will be sent out ahead of the meeting, but only to those who email info2024@wrocc.org.uk to request one.
