filename | Valid pathname specifying a file |
filetype | Filetype text description or 3 digit hexadecimal filetype number |
If the file does not have a date stamp, then it is stamped with the current time and date.
Although the command allows for the three digit hexadecimal code to be used without an Ampersand sign, it is highly recommended that one is always used. This is stop any ambiguities with any three digit filetype names.
