EtherM Network Adapter ROM
This is a ROM upgrade for the EtherM network card, originally produced by ANT, for use with the RiscPC/A7000/A7000+. The ROM is fitted to the network card itself so is always available immediately on power up even in a discless environment.
The software is StrongARM compatible and works with RISC OS 3.60 or later, including RISC OS 5, and also includes an up to date C library. The driver is automatically detected by the !InetSetup application in its interface setup. The driver can also be manually configured to present a "virtual interface" as though two network cards were fitted but needing only one hardware interface in the network slot.
Installation requires 5 simple steps:
- Unplug the network card from the motherboard
- Gently prise the EPROM from socket IC3 with a flat headed screwdriver
- Insert the new EPROM into the socket
- Reseat the network card on the motherboard
- Switch the computer back on
This product includes software developed by David Greenman, Charles Hannum, Enami Tsugutomo, and Jason Thorpe for the NetBSD Project.
The ROM upgrade costs just £10 plus P&P.
