IconMover 1.03

It’s six years since IconMover got an update. It is now even smoother and better behaved than ever.
1 If you drag all your icons to one side of the iconbar you won’t be able to drag them back to the other side of ‘the gap’… because there isn’t one. So, don’t do that. |

No special “gap” icon that becomes visible when you’re over it to be able to drag past things and restore sanity then? |

That would require it to read the positions of all the icons on the iconbar, sort them into order, work out whether there’s no gap, guess whether the missing gap is at the left end or right end (you can’t tell by coordinates) and then create an icon for the duration of the drag. Considering the amount of code to do all that, and the number of times the scenario would occur, I decided to not bother. A decision I have not found myself regretting in the last 16 years. Even now. |

Oh no…Ctrl+Shift+Alt…isn’t that the famous AppDock2 hotkey to bring the application dock to the front? |

“famous” I don’t think there’s any incompatibility. The only problem (in general) would be if you had an app that had a special function bound to Ctrl-Shift-Alt-click on its icon… which seems unlikely. |

In stark preference to icons scattered (hidden) on the Pinboard, !AppDock2 and !Toolbar are the mainstays of my desktop, and I’m glad to report that IconMover works alongside. One does have to press Ctrl-Shift-Alt again to put AppDock2 back to its normal state, but that’s no hardship. |
