Hello, a new version of KinoAmp is available from: http://www.riscos-digitalcd.net/image/kinoamp/kinoamp.htm Changes:
It should be noted that overlays requieres a recent version of the OS (15-Aug-2018 for the Raspberry Pi) and of the HardDisc4 disk image. Since overlays is new stuff on RISC OS, check the ROOL forum https://www.riscosopen.org/forum/forums/3/topics/11504?page=1#posts-82542 in case of problems. |

Hi André Thanks for the update and added features really welcome addition and thanks for supporting us users. One minor point is that the !System download in the archive has DiskSample version 0.54 in it and your website has DiskSample version 0.55. |

Nice work André :) I’d been meaning to write for a while though, and I guess I’m too late for this release ;) At the moment, KinoAmp !Boot claims MPEG, VOB and AVI filetypes. The first two make sense, but AVI files are rarely MPEG files. On a similar, but unrelated note, does RISC OS have a defined filetype for MP4 or MKV container files? If not, we probably need those, plus some MimeMap entries, so as to reflect “real world” video formats in use today. All that being said, video files seem like a bad fit for RISC OS filetypes, as they tend to act as containers for video and audio in various formats (eg. video could be MPEG2, H.264, HEVC or others, whilst audio could be anything from MP3, AC3, DTS, AAC etc). |

That’s because I experimented with AVI files and actually supported CVID. It doesn’t makes sense though no that we have !MPlayer so I have edited the archive and commented the line claiming AVI type. |
