This is really sad news. Both ProCad+ and WebWonder are good products and need to taking care of in the near future. I hope someone can talk to David and get the source codes to maintain those applications. I’m using those applications on regular basis. |

The site says: but an equipment failure means that I am no longer able to supply or support my software I really hope that this means “the machine has packed up” rather than “everything is lost”. |

Davd’s long time friend and ProCad+ show demonstrator was at yesterdays show, He told me that David is now concentrating on looking after his wife and working on a project he has been involved with for several years. Regards Ron. |

Considering the Authors problems – did his friend have any idea (did you get his name) – if David’s could be persuaded to pass ProCad+ and other progs to another author – so updates could continue? |

@ Colin, David holds the copyright to his software and if and when he decides to pass over the sources is his decision. Also who would maintain his software? @ Rick, Regards Ron. |

Just to update this thread (can a thread be renamed?), ProCAD is no longer dead, and David’s Iyonix is alive again! ProCAD+ is now available on !Store, and all of David’s other software will be joining it as the week goes on. We’re just polishing/updating it and getting it ready to go live in the best way we can. I’d be particularly interested to hear from anyone who has made their own FunFysics levels, as it’d be nice to include a much expanded set of missions/levels/scenarios with that game. Also, more examples/tutorials/experiences with ProCAD would be cool, as it is a heavyweight program, and whilst it has a tutorial and some examples, I can’t help feeling that a program like ProCAD benefits immensely from files which show what it is capable of. |

I would not speek about before David made a decision ;-) Additional Feb 25, 2019 he send any stuff to me. Inside a ProOSM update … Date Feb 22, 2019! My daughter play arond with FunFysics. I will take a look at. I use ProCAD since a long time but I’m not sure if that is enough to write a tutorial. |

@Andrew great news that ProCAD is available once more. I have been thinking about buying a copy for quite a while and when I finally was ready to buy, it was no longer available. It made me realise how dependent we are on a small group of experts. Keep up the good work. |

Thanks Norman – yes, it is good that it is available again, and David’s software is well worth a purchase. There’s some excellent stuff there. Also worthy of note is that David’s !Draw2PDF is now free on !Store. This is worthy of note because unlike most PDF programs, it doesn’t rely on grinding through Ghostscript, but rather does the PDF conversion direct from the Draw objects. If you do any work in !Draw (or programs that save as Draw), this should be a really useful tool in your armoury. |
