The next meeting of the RISC OS User Group Of London: ROOL Update, presented by Rob Sprowson Monday 16th September 2019, 7.45pm The Blue-Eyed Maid (upstairs in the restaurant) http://www.rougol.jellybaby.net/meetings/index.html In a slight change to the previsouly advertised topic(+), Rob Sprowson will be talking on behalf of ROOL to update us on what they have been up to in the past year. Since the successful bounty matching scheme at the end of last year, a number of bounties have been worked on and new ones opened, including important steps to bring the network stack into the 21st century. The recent arrival of the Raspberry Pi 4 has also caused a number of issues, as its new USB and network controllers are not supported by RISC OS. Rob will give more details and report on progress to update (+) Rob had hoped to be talking about a new Elesar product, but a flaw in one of the chips used has delayed it. If a fix/workaround can be found then he may still be able to tell us some info. More info here – http://www.rougol.jellybaby.net/meetings/index.html ROUGOL’s venue is easy to reach by public transport from in and around London and the south east: ROUGOL meetings take over the pub’s upstairs restaurant for the evening. Entry is free, food & drink plentiful (but not free!). |
