New venue for ROUGOL meetings

We are kicking off the new decade with a brand new venue for ROUGOL for the first time in 18 years! The Duke of Sussex (upstairs in the Chichester Room) http://www.rougol.jellybaby.net/venue.html As before the venue is very easy to get to by public transport, being right next door to Waterloo Station. There is also parking available outside from 6.30pm (meetings start at 7.45pm). For our first meeting at the new venue, on Monday 20th January 2020, we are delighted to be welcoming Richard Brown to give us the latest news from RISC OS Developments Ltd and answer any questions you may have. More details in the usual meeting announcement to follow soon. ROUGOL meetings are still free to attend and all are welcome, with no booking required. A wide range of food and drinks will be on sale. |

It happens to us all from time-to-time. I was just teasing! |

8~) Yeah. I learnt not to try a second click when nothing seemed to happen from the first a long time ago :-) |

That for sure. I shouldn’t have. We’ve – mostly I’ve – Aldershotted Bryan’s thread :-( |

Ha, hopefully that will cause people to keep coming back to the thread thinking something interesting is going on! It has been pointed out to me that I didn’t say why ROUGOL has moved. It was due to the sudden unexpected closure of our previous home, the Blue Eyed Maid. I’ve been unable to contact anyone from the pub to find out if/when it might reopen so we had a rapid search for a new location and came upon the Duke of Sussex. Which brings me to a request – please do come along if you can, as it would be great to impress the new venue by filling it! The more people there are buying food and drinks, the happier they will be to have us there. So if you haven’t come along for a while, or if you’ve never quite made it, now is the time! Shame Clive and Clive are going to miss it :-( |

It’s a long way to come from Greenock :-( – I shall be there in spirit; tell them to look in the whisky bottles. Next time I’m in the far south at an appropriate moment… |
