FontInfo

Pushed, but not realy related to the thread
I have now published my !FontInfo application.
It let you explore the glyphs and properties of a font, including the covering of unicode blocks.
Maybe it is useful for someone.

This is a great application, that I really missed in RISC OS. The Blocks option is fantastic, I think. Thank you for sharing!
I did find one bug, though, and I also have a suggestion:

- The program quits with a postmortem when viewing ArialUni, a really big unicode font. I don’t know whether it’s a glitch in the font, or it’s its massive size.

- I’d really like to see the glyphs being anti-aliased.

But for now, I’m already very impressed by it.

Regarding ArialUni you have to blame FontInfo. Try the updated version.
And the short help file is now in english too.

Alas Anton… version 0.02 generates exactly the same error here as the former version. ArialUni loads during 19 seconds (on my system) and then quits with a postmortem. Is there anything I can do to help you finding the culprit?

I can now confirm that FontInfo 0.02 works beautifully on my ARMiniX (I really should have tried that first). However it still fails on the VirtualAcorn with RISC OS 4.2, when trying to display ArialUni. Does that give a clue?

Paul, yes that give a clue.
With ArialUni FontInfo consumes more than 28MB WimpSlot. As my first attempt with the Toolbox library some situations are not handled very well.
