Tag Cloud

Hey all,

Some years ago I began adding support for tagging to my PrivateEye image viewer. The idea was that you could tag your photos with labels like “christmas”, “kids”, and so on, then search through those labels as required. It never really got finished but I did get the tag cloud component mostly there. It’s a squishy window which reformats when resized to show all of the available tags, highlighting the currently selected ones. The intention being that it’s sort of a Filer window for words.

Points:

• It’s just a test app for my tag cloud library. Don’t expect to be able to do anything useful with it just now.
• It fills the window with generated names, which you can highlight, and add and delete.
• There are various buttons to click and meddle with: list/cloud mode, sort mode and scaling mode. I’ve put a DrawFile in the archive for elucidation.
• It uses various different font sizes so if it’s slow to redraw you should boost your font cache.
