Infinite Bunner - Code the Classics Game Conversion for RO

From the book “Code the Classics” – as published by the Raspberry Pi Organization – the game Infinite Bunner has been converted to RISC OS BBC Basic. The game is a modern take on the game of Frogger/Hopper. The game is available as a free download from the PlingStore.

In the game you control a bunner that needs to move upwards so as not to fall off the bottom of the screen and be snatched by an eagle. Along the way up different obstacles appear that need to be avoided.

Features:
- Endless runner gameplay
- Procedurally generated map and obstacles
- 800 by 600 and 256 colour graphics
- In game music and dynamic sound FX
- Increasing game difficulty as you progress
- High-score list

Compatibility:
The game has been tested on Raspberry Pi 2B/4 and RPCEMU 0.9.3 with RISC OS 5.28/9. Being an AMCOG Development Kit game the game is expected to run on other RISC OS 5 platforms as well, but this has not yet been tested. Feedback of the game on other platforms is very much welcome. On Raspberry Pi the following controllers are supported:
- SNES
- PC XBOX 360

Great conversion Jeroen. Runs really smoothly on my ARM X6 and the dynamic filtering on the samples sounds really good. The queued RDSP sounds around game start and the high score entry also sound really good too.

My top score is 118 so far. Anyone gone further?
