Wakefield RISC OS Computer Club Meeting on Wednesday 3rd March at 7.45pm Software Preservation & RISCOSbitsPhil Pemberton will be talking about the effort to preserve 8-bit and RISC OS software for the future, and how you can help. This covers low-cost tools, the (free) software needed, and the ongoing work of the Acorn Preservation Team. This will be followed by Andy Marks of RISCOSbits, who will be showing some of his new hardware and software that he’s been developing over the past year, including the new FOURtress system. This ‘virtual’ meeting is open to all, and will take place using the Zoom conferencing service. Zoom invitations will be sent out earlier on the day of the meeting, but only to those who email info2021@wrocc.org.uk to request one. If you would like to be part of the meeting, please RSVP – at the latest by the end of Tuesday 2nd March. If you haven’t used Zoom before, we suggest that before Wednesday you try to join the Zoom test meeting at https://zoom.us/test on the device that you intend to use, in order to check that your system works OK.
