VATGST Version 1.01

I have upgraded my application to validate Value Added Tax and General Sales Tax VATGST to version 1.01

New in this version is the ability to save the company details as a vcard filed, joining the plain text file in the original version. Also you can now get VAT-GST rates from various countries around the world.

It can be download from my website or from my news site .

It requires a working internet connection and CURL to work as well as an API key from VAT Sense where the data comes from as the free API key only allows 100 calls for a 30 day period.

I have also uploaded s short YouTube Video of it in action.

I checked just it. Works fine. Well done!

I’m open for more formats to aave the data. The VAT-GST rates need improving, but that will be over time.

I hope the address bit is OK, I have only test UK numbers as that is I have access to,

I tested with my UK VAT number and my German UstID.
The VAT number returned “my address” which seems to be a synthetical address of HMRC at Aberdeen. But this is ok. This seems to be the case for all non UK located companies.

For my German UstID it only said that it is valid. I think that is correct. The provider mentions to use the information from the EU for this and AFAIR that is only delivering a “valid” in case that you are not passing your own UstID. Only in case that your own UstID is passed you may obtain more information like the address. So I wasn’t able to check any non UK address.

I also checked Elesars UK VAT number as the only one I am aware of.

The program worked in all cases properly.
