(oops, forgot to post this, meeting is tonight!) The next meeting of the RISC OS User Group Of London is: RISC OS Distro Comparison, presented by Bernard Boase Monday 20th September 2021, 7.45pm The Duke of Sussex (upstairs in the Chichester Room from 6.30pm) Also online via Zoom from 7.30pm http://www.rougol.jellybaby.net/meetings/ This month we will be covering an expanded version of the subject that was due to be discussed at our March 2020 meeting which didn’t happen for some reason or other… In Archive magazine issue 25:3 Bernard Boase did a comparison of the ROOL ePic and RISC OS Direct distributions. At this meeting Bernard will be leading us through a discussion about which apps are included with each distribution and the directory structure used. Additionally, we will have at look at what is included in the more retro focussed distribution, the RPCEmu RO3.7 Easy-Start bundle. Come along in person or online to join in the discussion with your own thoughts and ideas on what is and isn’t included, and what could be changed or improved. This meeting will also be held online via Zoom. Please contact us to receive a link to the meeting. If you have attended any meeting this year, it’s the same link! |
