Impression User Manual

Just appeared on csa announce:

The User Manual for Impression has been updated and is now over 350
pages. This is now available as an A5 perfect bound printed paperback with
coloured illustrations.

The manual covers all three versions of Impression (Style, Publisher,
Impression-X).

The printed User Manual is available for £29, inclusive of post and
packing to UK addresses. Send a cheque for £29 (or £15 if you have
already paid a deposit of £10) to the following address:

Purchasers of this print run will receive an exclusive download link for
version 5.13 of the Impression Publisher software which runs under
Aemulor. Copies of the manual should be available for despatch mid
December, i.e. (just) in time for Christmas.

I have just approved the proof for this print run, so should be able to distribute copies to those who have ordered it from 15th December.

If anyone wants to review the manual, I do have two spare copies (produced slightly more expensively in smaller numbers) for that purpose.

I can now announce the availability of a printed ‘Guide to the Impression Suite’ available from lulu using this URL link – it is available at £12 plus P&P either online via that link or from the usual address (see above) at £12 plus £3 P&P. Lulu do charge nearly £4 for P&P despite the first class postage being just £2.39 – so it is slightly cheaper direct from me (or even cheaper at a show as there would be no charge for P&P).

Making this manual available so that it is printed locally (the lulu.com business model is for books to be printed locally to the purchaser and at a viable price for one-off copies) should overcome the Brexit-related problems of exporting something that is zero-rated for VAT in GB (and thus tax paid) to somewhere where books are taxable (and therefore Customs fees are payable).

So even before I have received stock, a copy has been ordered in both UK, France (€16) and Australia (A$22) , so they’ll get them at the same time as I do!

My copy of the User Manual arrived yesterday. Lovely to have an updated, reprinted, quality guide.
