MakeMJPEG

I have written a new small and in the moment really useless application called MakeMJPEG. MakeMJPEG is simply creating MJPEG movies in the format of the stream variant. MakeMJPEG needs the frame data of which the movie will be created delivered by other applications. It makes usage of a homebrewn protocol of Wimp messages to do so. The protocol is described inside the help. The generated movie can be converted into other movie formats e.g. by using FFMPEG. MakeMJPEG is quite useless in the moment as there has been no application released yet which supports the protocol to deliver the frames. However this will change during the next days ;-). MakeMJPEG can be downloaded from my homepage http://thomas-milius-stade.dnshome.de/indexE.htm Section Computer activities or directly from http://thomas-milius-stade.dnshome.de/Download/Freeware/MakeMJPEG.zip Betatesters had already ideas for improvements yesterday evening which will be implemented in the next version. |

Might also be an interesting thing to play with for my old IP camera. |

Not in the moment. This will be added next.
This is exactly the format which MakeMJPEG generates. You can convert it easily into formats like MPEG2/MP4 by using FFMPEG. The motion stream files are quite big but are having the advantage that you can cut them or extract JPEG pictures out of them using a simple texteditor. |

The second part of this post should be better here ;-) |

I have updated MakeMJPEG now to version 0.02. Links for download are as above. Changes: - Frames per second default if not determined elsewhere So MakeMJPEG can be now used also stand alone ;-). |
