The next meeting of the RISC OS User Group Of London is: Archimedes Live, presented by Paul Stone Monday 15th May 2023, 7.45pm The Duke of Sussex (upstairs in the Chichester Room from 6.30pm) Also online via Zoom from 7.30pm https://rougol.jellybaby.net/meetings/ Many people will be familiar with Arculator, the Archimedes emulator for Windows and Linux written by Sarah Walker. Version 2.1 was released near the end of 2021 – http://b-em.bbcmicro.com/arculator/index.html Early last year Paul Stone set himself the challenge to see if he could compile Arculator to WebAssembly (WASM), allowing it to run in a web browser. The goal would be to allow anyone to try Archimedes games and apps just by following a link. He was successful, and Archimedes Live was born! – https://archi.medes.live/ Paul will be joining us in the pub to tell us about how he did it, what problems he had along the way, and give some idea of what his plans are for further enhancements. There should be plenty of time before and after the meeting to try playing some games and demos. Directions to the venue by car and public transport are on the website: https://rougol.jellybaby.net/venue.htmlThis meeting will also be held online via Zoom, but do join us in the pub if you can! Contact us to receive a link to the meeting. If you have attended any previous meeting, it’s the same link. |

;) I have thought that it would be nice to run RISC OS on my little Android “portable” (with mouse and keyboard) |
