I’ve watched the presentations, and came up with several questions about Iris, since it came up but the wording seemed vague to me.
Will it be considered ready for public release when all the major known bugs are squashed,
or is video playback a critical component for the official release?

If officially released for public download without video playback, maybe in the future?
Or maybe you can implement it like Lynx browser, where the browser opens a separate video player in the operating system?
