Hi my RISC OS application for displaying train timetables for Great Britain called TrainTimes has been upgraded to version 2.00 The reason for a version 2.00 release is that a new API provider is used so I rewrote the application. New in this version is a few cosmetic differences in the various time table displays, a new window at the moment which displays the station’s name and address plus the various station codes for that station, also if an application that can handle GPX files has been seen by the filer then a map can be viewed for where that station is. Also only one copy of it can be run at a time on a computer. Also an API username and password is required from the new API providers which is Realtime Trains API . I have created a short YouTube video of it in action. It does require a working internet connection and wget to work. I have a few ideas for new updates including having more information about the station i.e staffing levels opening times improving the wording of the display. The data for the timetables comes from Realtime Trains API whilst the station data comes from National Rail |
