Hi All, Version 2.01 of Makro is now available for download. Introduction Makro is a utility which allows you to define simple string sequences and then ‘play’ them back, as if you had typed them in at the keyboard. This is most helpful in cases where a series of repetitive actions need to be carried out. It also allows you to specify *Commands, so you can use it for, say, an e-mail address book and an application launcher. All this using a simple set of action buttons. These action buttons can also be ‘clicked’ using a hot key combination to enable inserting into menus and transient dialogue boxes that would be closed on a mouse click. Makro sets Makro allows you to maintain many sets of macros. A pop-up menu in the main window provides access to installed sets. MakroSet files can also be loaded by double-clicking on them. Actions tied to a macro button can be edited from the main window, or a MakroSet file can be edited in an editor, using OLE if the editor supports it (such as Zap and StrongED). Insertion Text inserted by Makro is passed through OS_GSTrans so system variables can be used. Inserting function keys is supported too so Makro may be used for the same jobs as EdiScript (Drag ’n Drop 12i4) and FormFiller. Configuration The choices window provides control over various aspects of Makro. The number of supported macro buttons and sets can be set. The hot keys to ‘click’ a button can be defined here. Colours for the macro buttons can be set, based on the action they perform. As always, all feedback is welcome. |
