WebP comes to PhotoDesk

We are pleased to announce that a new version of PhotoDesk will be on display at the SW Show this weekend with support for the WebP graphics format.

WebP is a graphics format designed by Google to replace GIF, JPEG and PNG, incorporating many of the best features of each format. It supports both lossless and lossy compression, masking/transparency and even additional frames (as per animated GIFs).

The new PhotoDesk extension will handle WebP images and will be on display at the show, for release shortly after. As usual, this will be a free upgrade for anyone who has updated to the XAT edition of PhotoDesk. Thanks to Richard Coleman for his work on developing this extension.
