MiniTime 2.00b released

Hi All, Version 2.00b of MiniTime is now available for download. About MiniTime MiniTime was written as a replacement for SmallTime which does the same thing but doesn’t run on modern hardware and the licence doesn’t allow for altered versions to be distributed. Like SmallTime, MiniTime displays the date/time in a small icon or window. In addition it provides a simple calendar. Time and calendar displays can be easily configured to suit one’s preferences. MiniTime can be freely distributed under the 3-clause BSD licence, and comes with the source included. As always, all feedback is welcome. So, what’s new? Well, nothing and everything. Functionally this should be the same as the previous version but it’s been converted from assembler to BBC BASIC using AppBasic. Obviously this is a big change and so chances are that some things don’t work as intended, hence the release as a beta version. If you’re a user of MiniTime, please give this version a try and let me know of any issues that you find so that they can be fixed. |

MiniTime is now up to version 2.00 (non beta). A few problems that were found in the beta release have been fixed, and some of the coding has been improved. The URL to download is the same as in previous post. If you have any problems then please do let me know. |

Thanks Fred, updated and in use… Reminder test: I write a text and do store, but if I want to check it I only get the current date, no more message. Maybe I’m misinterpreting this feature? Notification works well, very useful…for me! Nothing to do with !MiniTime, I consult the ROOL Forum via Sargasso and there seem to be problems (display)? Just to know if I’m the only one who has problems |

Thanks for reporting this, Jean-Michel. It turned a couple of lines were in the wrong order causing the date to stored rather than the actual reminder. MiniTime 2.02 is now on the website which fixes this problem. |

Thanks, test is ok Maybe add the shortcut information that can be used to display with !Hel, or a “shortcuts” section in the StrongHelp manual. |

That’s how I’ve tried to pitch MiniTime. Notifications between nothing and Alarm, reminders between nothing and Organizer.
MiniTime v2.03 is now on the website that fixes some problems with calendar updates. It also has basic !Help support for the time display and the calendar. |
