Hiya, The Live coding stream last Sunday went ok, and we had a few people along, so I’m going for the same thing this Sunday as well – Sunday 7th July, 1pm. Last Sunday’s coding improved our Debugger module with a This week, I will try to keep the stream under 3 1/2 hours, as I think that’s probably people’s limit. I intend to add some more commands for Sunday’s Live coding stream will be on YouTube, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tEkqkgPhA-U I’ve created a playlist of the existing streams if you’d like to catch up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H08vtW1nZ9g&list=PLVVIu906Y7rG9arQQU7hzueTykjxtiGVH |

The prior streams have both been updated with timestamps to allow you to jump to distinct sections. This may make the very long stream a little more bearable. |

Today’s stream is now complete… We had:
Whilst the first 3 were a bit involved, the final addition of Still haven’t got The module is now relatively functional. If anyone has any comments and thoughts about the module, or the coding series, please drop me a line here or to gerph@gerph.org. |

Is there any thought about any ARM 64 output? Is it possible to download these large files at the local library – to put contents on a stick – to watch on a TV? |

If you have an Android phone, NewPipe can download videos. |

Only limited data here – how big are the files? |

I intend to support most of the features that I made available in RISCOS Pyromaniac, subject to time and energy. Plus of course any help from others it they wish to contribute. https://pyromaniac.riscos.online/pyromaniac/prm/programmers/debugger-supplement.html I don’t expect I’ll add the vectors or ticker information. I’m still dubious of the utility of the debug functions so I may leave those out. To try out the behaviour of the RISCOS Pyromaniac debugger go to https://shell.riscos.online/. As for the other question about accessing the videos, I’m sorry I don’t know. It’s just YouTube so I presume there may be other documentation for people with limited data or who wish to download to later – I would use YouTube-dl on my computer if I needed to but I doubt that’s as useful to you. As for the video file size, that depends on the resolution and bitrate you download with but a couple of GB for the full version would not surprise me. |

They total a little under 3 GB (for all three in the playlist). I’d be happy to host them as normal .mp4 files (with permission, of course) but since I’m on the other side of the world the download might be slow. |

About 700MB each (720p) or about 1.1GB (1080p) or about 300MB (360p for playing on RISC OS 😉). NewPipe (Android) makes downloading stuff easy. There’s even a 144p stream (WHY!?!?). I downloaded it for a laugh as at 248MB it only took a few moments. It was…. utterly ridiculous, nothing was even remotely readable. 😂 |

If you wish to host them, etc, that’s just fine by me. |

Part 1 is now available for download. I’d be interested in hearing what the speed’s like from the UK: it’s a 500 Mb/s connection but TCP delays will probably constrain it a decent amount. The file is a zip for ease of downloading (so that the browser doesn’t just try to play it instead of downloading it). Video is the original H.264 along with the AAC audio track as that’s probably the most compatible option. If this does the trick then I’m happy to host the other two as well. |
