I shall be bringing my Pinebook Pro and demonstrating an application that is so arcane I cannot explain it. The mechanical locking in a signal box is a superb mechanical computer and capturing it as it moves took rather a lot of time to get right! For a sneak preview, see here |

Yes, I’ve already been looking at this application in admiration, although I know nothing about railways and their related mechanics. |

Interesting – things like mechanical calculators. Early radio stuff was very mechanical. [Edit] They are just changing over to lights down here from mechanical signals. I suppose the big advantage is a big remote signal box can control everything! |
