Impact version 3.72 released

A new version of the Impact relational database application for RISC OS is now available from the Sine Nomine Software website. You will need to have a licence valid for version 3.70 (released at the Wakefield show) to use the new version.

The latest enhancement is the addition of functions for use in action scripts which ask the user to select a place. The latitude, longitude and the name of the place are then available for storing in the database for or other purposes.

The photographs database, which forms one of the examples in the tutorial, has been extended to take advantage of these features. See section 25.3 of the manual.

To provide the place selection capability you will need to install Nominatim verison 1.16 which was also released today. You may already have Nominatim installed if you are a user of RiscOSM.
