VideoED PreAlpha

I have made a PreAlphaVersion to try.
Is nor ready but something like this (cut and blend with xfade) is possible.
No helpfile, a lot of known problems…
Tested with eabi ffmpeg and Chris Martins ffplay… same like RiscFF, YTPlay etc.
An example project is inside. Klick “Open” and drag the folder to the Window…
Create your own by dragging an videofile to the window. An known extension is needed.
It creates an Projectfolder. You can rename but you should not move the video to an other place. Open the project by dragging the folder…
Tick what you will do.
Cut… concat woll bring the peices together without blending. fadein/out fade the beginnig and the end.
Join manually do the same like RiscFF. The Videos must not part of the project but both should have the same format.
The Filter button shows the available Filter… test or pick one…
Subtitles are not working most of the time. Not sure why. Works on my Pi4 but not on PBPro and Ti. I’m not sure what the reason is.

I think about to go back to drawtext. Is working stable but is less flexible than the libass solution. No rotating text etc.
MPEG works a bit better than MP4.
Feel free to play around with. Feedback welcome but as I wrote here. Is a “never ending project”.

Have made a new beta. Subtitle is working now more or less. A lot of other improvements…

The mp4 works not really with the RISC OS player. Have also a mpg. Ffplay circle audio by pressing “a”.

Thanks for the update.

It is most likely me but I just can’t get it to work.

I drag a video to the main program , click select and the task window opens and then it produces the information in an instant and draging a project file to the main window just crashes the program.

Update: Your older MovieCentre 0.11 does work and creates jpegs

Sorry, I forget…
MovieCentre works with an older Version of ffmpeg and extract all frames from a movie. VideoED only the 11 you see.
VideoED needs the eabi ffmpeg from Chris Gransden, ffplay from Chris Martin. Ffprobe is inside…
If ffmpeg works, you should jpegs find in Projekt$Dir.1.Frames.
If this not help, I need more information.

That helped, though I got an error about the WimpSlot not being big enough to run ELF programs, so had to massively up it.

Once the Wimpslot issue was sorted then it does indeed work.

Update – A Reboot of the system allows it to run without changing the Wimpslot.
