A new version of DirSync and its diffviewer plugin DSDiff has been released and is available through your favourite package manager. This release should solve some of the ZeroPain problems DirSync had, while DSDiff has been updated to cope with the version of the DiffUtils-package that is available today. |

…and if you don’t have a package manager, favourite or otherwise? |

Why don’t you install Packman? You can then download DirSync and many more interesting things. The details for downloading it can be found in the “Packaging” thread in the ‘Comunity Support’ forum. Ron. |

The thing is, not everyone is happy with the package management systems. Not something I have an issue with but I do understand that the users that object feel put down / diminished that they are presented with no other choice. |

And more than this, not every RISC OS computer is connected to Internet. My SchlePi is not. |

There are many reasons people have for not wanting things package delivered. |

Not having an Internet connection doesn’t stop you from using !PackMan. Just because a package is available to download using !PackMan doesn’t stop you from downloading and installing it manually. |

More faff is probably the summary of many objections I’ve seen. |

Which is what I would be content to do as I have done in the past and hence my query. Where from? The only package I could find is out of date. I’m obviously looking in the wrong places but all the info I could see was either aimed at Raspberry Pi owners with the manager or authors. I couldn’t see any actual locations. |

Try http://packages.riscosopen.org/thirdparty/FileDetails.html#DirSync RiscPkg packages are just zip files, from which you can extract the application by hand if you can’t bring yourself to use PackMan. |

Thanks. Bookmarked! |

Exact. But users need links, or an easy way (package web interface) to find links. |

Something like this? |

Yep |

Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks Chris. |
