Just in case the three people who volunteered to test it out for me aren’t the only users of !CPUTmpMon, I’ll let it be known here that there’s a new release (v2.00) that works happily on the BeagleBoard-xM. You can find it here. Thanks to all those who tested! |

Just to let you know – I’ve just tried it on my xM and I got around 56C Edit: I should add that this was running at 1600×1000xC16M in case it matters. |

Thanks, Grahame. If anyone else wants to post their temperature readings (or SysLog logs), it might be interesting. I know Peter Dowson was interested to hear what readings others were getting. |

I just tried this on my Pandaboard ES, but it fails with an “Abort on datatransfer at &0000FB3C at line 3260”. Would it be difficult to support the Pandaboard ES? |

Probably not, judging from a brief glance over the OMAP4460 TRM. If I have some spare time (ha!) over the coming weeks, I’ll see if I can do it. But really it would be better to work on adding a proper HAL interface to hardware monitoring, rather than supporting each individual bit of kit in the application layer. I think Jeffrey had a plan to put this into the Portable module. Not sure if anything ever came of that. He’s probably been way too busy with other things. I haven’t had any time in the last year to spare for RISC OS unfortunately. |

Indeed! I’m nearly at the point where I’m going to add battery monitoring/management to the Portable module, along with writing a new version of the A4/Stork BatMgr app. Maybe I can squeeze in an API for temperature sensing and RTC battery management at the same time. |

There is already a tweaked version of CPUTmpMon for the Pandaboard inside the pandaboot.zip supplied by Chris Gransden. |

Is a CPUTempMon for the RPi aviable? |

Not at the moment. I’d be interested in adding the R-Pi to the code, but first I think I need the BCMSupport module to be released. There’s been some discussion here. |
