If you are a software developer and you are looking for an “ARMv7 compatible” logo that looks good on your web site next to the official “Iyonix compatible” logo, then you are welcome to use this logo (PNG / GIF) that has the same size and a similar style as the “Iyonix compatible” logo. The Ghostscript page shows them both side by side. |

I think that’s a great move :-) |

Indeed, thanks, Martin. :) Also for making Easi/TechWriter BeagleBoard compatible. The more software available for the BeagleBoard (and related platforms), the better, especially now that work on Impression seems to move slowly… However, with Easi/TechWriter and Ovation Pro, we’ve got a nice selection of wordprocessor/DTP software also for the BeagleBoard… I think it’s very cool that many of the major RISC OS applications now work on the BeagleBoard, including e.g. Photodesk, ProArtisan 24, ArtWorks 2, Easi/TechWriter, Ovation Pro, StrongED, Zap, Messenger Pro, NetSurf, GCC, SparkFS, StrongHelp, etc. It makes it a real alternative. By the way, I guess it could be a good idea to get the people who are distributing software that is known to be BeagleBoard compatible to add this “ARMv7 compatible” logo to their product pages… For those with known contact addresses, we could contact them and suggest that they add this new logo to their products. I can take care of that (unless someone else wants to do it). |

A c.s.a posting and mention in the Acorn press would mean some authors may make the change without being personally prompted. The remainder could then be emailed in the way you suggest, a month or two later… but IMHO of course, go ahead with all the emails sooner if you (or someone else) really feel like it. |

The version of the “Iyonix OK” logo I’ve got here is bigger than that: http://www.jaffasoft.co.uk/wwv2/img/iyonix-cert.gif Originally it was 67×78, but I’ve padded it out to 80px wide. If you had a higher res/vector version to replace the old school ‘A’ that’d be brilliant. |
