Interesting decision! And their SBC-A510 may be worth a look for anyone wanting to build a system. It contains a Marvell chip but they do provide some developer info. Prices (excluding optional extras) work out at:
[Edit: The boards with TI chips don’t seem to say whether the SB-T35 baseboard connectors are designed to fit a *TX form factor, unlike the SBC-A510.] |

This looks like an ideal platform for RISC OS - fast hard disk, 1Gbyte of RAM, 1GHz processor (1.5x times the speed of Iyonix). Is there enough information to get some video drivers working (I don’t have this skill)? |

Since it has PCI (3.3v) maybe it would also be possible to fit an Iyonix graphics card and use that for the display? |

I also notice a USB device port. I wonder if they have the foresight to make it appear as generic storage. (Like target disk mode on a firewire mac). That would certainly make installation easier. Would they also be likely to market a similar ATX system? |
