Just thought I’d post a quick summary of R-Comp / RCI news for the London Show this weekend. We’re just about to head south, so I’ll keep it brief. Full press releases can be found on c.s.a.announce or Riscository etc. New Fireworkz Pro 2.20 with global clipboard support, a new quick-start manual, extra compatibility with outside world, and editable resource files for language and icon themes. It supports wimp$theme (from memory) for choosing graphical theme. New CDs available at show for circa 5ukp scaling up depending on version owned, or download next week. New upgrades to our Bundle CD (also available separately) including latest Fireworkz Pro, MPro 7 and new inclusion DeleGate. This included free with show computer purchases of ARMX6 or TiMachine. Hundreds of pounds of goodness :) Graphical Linux for Titanium available in 32-128Gb sizes. Discounts for TiMachine or Titanium Support Scheme members. Messenger Pro for Win/Lin/Mac updated CDs available with latest summer-2016 version for modern Windows, Linux and Mac OS flavours inc 64bit. Again, low priced CDs available at show. RISCBook Go! 11.6inch long-battery life mobile computer with flip-tablet mode and latest USB 3.1/type C support (and lots more). Hybrid machine, so possibly less interesting to ROOL forum members (hence last item on list), but can run wide range of RISC OS software including the likes of Sibelius and Impression etc, as well as newer software. Aimed at being a low cost solution that gives users RISC OS and high quality mobile browsing/HD video and MS-compatibility for work etc – ie a complete solution for on-the-road. It’s a sexy little machine, although I know it’ll either be an “exactly what I want” or a “not really interested at all” type product. Thanks for reading, and we look forward to seeing folks at the show and having a chat. A few things missed this show, so perhaps we’ll have more announcements for SW Show in Feb :) Edit: Also just found a PS2-mouse-adapter for RiscPC. Those things are rare as hens’ teeth, so if anyone wants one, I’ll bring it to the show. |
