I think probably coincidence, but it’s possible Pratchett influenced Roy. Also brings Ye gods and little fishes to mind, which is older than either by a country mile. Dunno where it comes from. |

zeitgeist
There’s a story in an old book about a bloke doing a gathering on a hill and sharing out a bit of food… |

Indeed. But who put it into those particular words, and when? |

You did, about half an hour ago. :) Oh, you mean who did it first? Enough, off to Aldershot. |

I not understand … also not the German. Too much philosophy, not my business.
I agree. Please not misunderstand. All is working fine. More or less. Less ist the LiPo battery manager. I can read all I need via I2C but I can not write the current battery capacity but this is necessary for correct charging and control. At this time the “production” (3D printing, plates, screws) is optimize for speed, not for quality. Now I must sort all the things and change the drawings. I have all the information I need to make a better quality and the finish. But this takes some time. At this time it is only a “private pleasure”. |

+1 for the info box. ;-) |

Raik once again a very impressive creation and what a great idea to reduce height by having the Wandboard after the screen hinge. I have finished my first prototype using a chalkboard 14" screen but I think that it is eligible for the fattest RiscPad title. Would include some photos but not sure how to load them to textile. |

Was not sure if you read your e-mail. Plan B was Willi. He has patched the old Megumi.
You need a link to the photos are placed on a server and use something like “!”//path_to_my_photos/photo.jpg"!" (not forget to start and end with a !) and your picture will be displayed. I am waiting impatiently |

Good to know you got it sorted. If you have access to the file spec and some examples, it ought to be possible to create something new and readable instead of heavily crunched BASIC. What happens if it needs another fix? |

Easy for me. I send a question ;-) I have try to contact the (German) author but without success. Not sure if any sources are aviable anywhere. The last question is alive… do you read your “heyrick”-mails ;-) |

Raik unfortunately I do not have a server to load my photos to and I assume that we cannot load to the RISC Server. Happy to send you some photos. |

Not sure if you have my email. I think yes but if not, for the first contact, you can find me here. I can post your photos, if you like. |

You sent me a ~680K zip file on 28th August. I replied on 29th to say I’d take a look but the code was pretty mangled, plus a posting here with a screenshot of the assembler as a string. I did play around but it was crashy – I think my WimpExt sources may not be so good… So I had nothing new to report. |

I use Yahoo!, so actually that doesn’t surprise me much… |

Raik Many thanks for posting the photos of my first attempt at a portable Risc computer. Next step is create a much slimmer Mk 2 with batteries. |

All being well, we’ll have Raik’s i.MX6-based 3D-printed portable on our stand at the London Show. Amazon have just delivered a suitable UK power lead, so fingers-crossed! Temper your expectations, as Raik stresses this is very much his own prototype, but we thought it’d make for a fun “things people are doing with RISC OS boards” display. |
