This month’s meeting of the RISC OS User Group Of London is: Return to RISC OS Monday 18th September 2017, 7:45pm The Blue-Eyed Maid (upstairs in the restaurant) http://rougol.jellybaby.net/meetings/index.html Some of you may remember Jason Tribbeck from back in the 90s, when he produced various game ports to RISC OS such as Xenon II, James Pond II and Dune II (clearly he only did sequels!). He then went on to develop the Argo Internet Suite before moving on to other things as Argonet changed focus. He recently returned to RISC OS and has resumed development of his programming library ROVlib. Jason has kindly agreed to visit ROUGOL next Monday to talk about those early times, what he’s been up to since then, his experiences on returning to RISC OS, and his plans for further development of ROVlib. Maybe we’ll also find out what happened to his Steel Cobra MkIII… The Blue Eyed Maid is easy to reach by public transport from in and around London and the south east: ROUGOL meetings are held on the third Monday of every month and are free to attend, so drop in for food, drink and a chat. More details on the website – http://rougol.jellybaby.net/meetings/index.html Bryan. |

and /waving back/ :-) Still in the area, no free wifi1 in the stack of pens labelled a hotel, but the personal hotspot via the iPhone serves so it’s a night in rather than loitering in a corner of a pub. 1 No TV either but that’s no great loss. |
