This month’s meeting of the RISC OS User Group Of London is: Hard problems, and why they’re important Monday 20th November 2017, 7:45pm The Blue-Eyed Maid (upstairs in the restaurant) Colin Wright has visited ROUGOL twice before to talk about the RISC OS based radar systems that he produced in his role at Denbridge Marine. Since the end of the Iyonix those systems have mostly moved over to using Linux. So this time Colin will be talking about something very different – hard problems, and why they’re important. This will cover algorithms, mathematical proofs, and problem solving, with emphasis on how they relate to cryptography. Colin gives many presentations around the country on a variety of subjects, from maths to juggling, which are always both entertaining and educational. So although rather off topic, don’t miss out on this chance to join in with what is guaranteed to be a fascinating and fun evening!
