Is there a list of RISCOS apps ported to PC anywhere online ? |

Ah, OakDraw. I have The source to that. Never managed to get it to build under OpenWatcom because it relies heavily on Microsoft’s GDI library… As for others… ArtWorks became Xara, didn’t it? And Sibelius jumped ship. OvationPro is available for both. Probably some games for ported in both directions, but as Tony of AMCog knows, I famously suck at games… ;-) But the text adventure system (Inform) is all PC and stuff now, it left RISC OS behind long ago – http://inform7.com/ |

I don’t know if there’s a list, but to start one and to add to Rick’s suggestions. Apps ported to PC Messenger Pro – http://www.intellegit.com/software/gemini/ Games ported to PC Spheres of Chaos – http://www.spheresofchaos.com/ Game Demo on RISC OS finished for PC Iron Dignity (released as ‘Stealth Combat’ on the PC) Education software I believe lots were ported as after 1995 going RISC OS only was not that sensible. The ‘ArcVenture’ series |

WebChange – a very, very old version, never developed further so massively lacking in features compared to the RISC OS version. |

Technically, we can include Repton, Repton 2 and Repton 3 here. All three have appeared on RISC OS at least twice, and have been released for Windows. |

…and started life on the Beeb. ;-) |

There’s also been a port of Chuckie Egg from the BBC to RISC OS, then for Windows. Numerous remakes, Flash, DHTML, etc… I came across one that was actually the 6502 code bolted on to a tiny Beeb emulation, based upon similar for RISC OS: http://marklomas.net/ch-egg/articles/porting-ch-egg.htm |

Inferno is available on iOS and Mac OS X. They also list XBox 360, but I believe Microsoft have closed the XBLIG store. |

Quest for Gold, possibly. https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en#!topic/comp.sys.acorn/lmQOsoNX4Q8 (I was thinking of doing an IconBar “Oldschool review” of Quest for Gold in time for the London 2012 Olympics, but that never happened. (The review, not the Olympics)) |

Indeed ArtWorks became Xara, and looking at the DTP feature set of Xara Designer Pro X, it looks like Impression also became Xara. They even reuse the term “Document Processor”. |

I should think Pipedream counts as well. |

Thanks everyone for the info and suggestions. All I need now it an A5000 monitor to boot up and see what the screen is looking like. It makes all the right noises without a monitor attatched. |
