RPCEmu Fullscreen Issue

I’ve been having a play with the 0.9.0 of RPCEmu on my Linux computer (Mint 19 ‘Tara’). Everything seems fine except when I try to switch to full-screen mode. Instead of filling the screen with the Risc OS desktop (As RPCEmu <= 0.8.0 has always done) the Risc OS desktop stays wherever the window holding it was and the window parts surrounding it disappear.

If anybody has any advice I would appreciate.

I came across the suggestion of starting in 800×600 mode and then swithcing to a higher one after going into full-screen mode. That was on the RPCEmu mailing list. That works for me.
