Quick questions

Hi – three quick questions:
The reason is that I am looking at the viability of running some old software that does not work reliably under Aemulor. It “mostly” works that way, but has a tendency to stiff the machine so I wondered if a full system emulator might be a better solution in this case? Is this possible? [PS: no, don’t want to use a PC, it burns ~200W/hr vs the Pi’s ~7W/hr] |

What applications? Have you tried ADFFS? |

There is AFAIK no RPCEmu version for RISC OS that works in a meaningful way – the initial port by Chris Gransden was more a proof-of-concept of a direct Qt port, I think the keyboard was non-working. The port by Adrian Lees was never finished. I would be happy to be proven wrong though! Does the software in question work on RISC OS 3.1? If yes, I would suggest ArchieEmu, which runs fine in a window and is very compatible in my experience. |
