Colour issues in !Eureka for windows buttons and scrollbars

I am running !Eureka 3.0.0 on RO5.24 in RPCEmu, under !Aemulor. The program functions correctly, albeit there is a colour display issue with the window buttons and scrollbars. These are not rendered correctly, showing in assorted colours, though still function properly. Running on the Sovereign theme the scrollbars are fine except for the buttons; the Raspberry theme results in the actual bars misdisplaying as well. Here is a screenshot. Not sure if this is directly caused by RPCEmu – however, this issue has never appeared before on an RPC or VirtualAcorn. Just wondering if there is any obvious fix. Thanks for your help! |

Does it happen in all colour depths? I vaguely remember that some versions of Eureka were unhappy with hi-colour modes. |

Eureka draws its spreadsheet windows itself, including all the furniture. Much like early versions of DDT, it did not anticipate that such sprites would ever be more than 16 colours. |

I was running in Risc OS 5.24 with a colour depth of 16 million, resolution of 1360 × 768 at 60Hz. I run AnyMode from the !Boot file (Pre Desk). |

IIRC some versions of Eureka do this, but later builds (3.10 or later, maybe, I can’t recall) are better behaved. Edit – I seem to be running 3.05 here, but that’s on VRPC. I’d need to go upstairs and turn on my ARMX6 to check which version I run under Aemulor. I’m guessing it is also 3.05, but can’t tell you quickly. Either way, I think the key here is the version number, unfortunately. |
