I set this up on my MacBook Pro this evening and it runs great, great until i select full screen mode, then mouse cursor becomes really laggy. Is there anything i can do to mitigate this? |

This has been a (minor) issue for some time: while full-screen was usable (with slight mouse lag) at RPCEmu 0.8.14, I couldn’t get the mouse to work at all in full-screen mode with RPCEmu 0.9.1 or 0.9.21. In general I don’t make much use of RPCEmu’s full-screen mode because the display ends up “out-of-focus” as if it’s always resizing the screen regardless of what pixel resolution I specify. I’ve just tried full-screen mode with RPCEmu 0.9.3a (the first time I’ve tried it since upgrading to macOS Catalina 10.15.7) and pointer movement is a complete mess. At best I get a ludicrously laggy pointer; at worst there are two mouse pointers (a Mac pointer and a RISC OS pointer) and I am forced to play a game of “guess the real pointer position”… Thankfully everything seems to behave itself in windowed mode. 1 It transpired this was because I still had older versions of RPCEmu installed: macOS would apply permissions to the first one it saw so the others ended up unable to “control the computer”. I only realised this after installing RPCEmu 0.9.3a. |
