unstable display issues

Received a USB stick from ROOL before Christmas. Tried to run it on three different boxes (with LCD monitors) with Win XP. In each case the display is flickering badly and the mouse pointer is repeated so many times it is a guess to locate where the active one is on the screen. I’ve tried searching the forum to see if anyone else has had the problem, without success. Has anyone else come across this? If so what is the solution please? |

Personally, I’ve not seen this kind of failure. I’ve tested on Win 2K and Win 7, but can’t recall off hand if I also tested on XP. It may be that you have a particular piece of software which interferes with the emulator which happens to be on all the machines you tried? Something graphics driver related would seem a more reasonable source of trouble, though. |

Thanks for the suggestion Andrew. The three machines I tried it on were different vintages/specs (bought at different times and from different vendors) so unlikely to have the same graphics driver – I think!?!? |

I only get that if trying to run the emulator in full screen mode… |

Hello I have exactly the same issue with RPCEmu (i bought the RPCEmu Usb Stick from ROOL, but I am using the latest version of RPCEmu, 0.8.9 instead of the 0.8.8 provided on the USB). I am running it under Windows XP SP3 (Compaq Evo N800c), 1024×768. Regards François |
