Deleting directories

Has anyone else found it impossible to delete a directory.

I’m not sure if this is due to the latest release, but if I try the filer window just keeps showing more and more directories being deleted, up to thousands, but actually, none are. The files within are deleted, but not the structure so the filer window never ends….

What filing system is this on?

This is a known problem with HostFS on the Mac version of RPCEmu. The issue is that the directory contains – or has contained at some point in the past – a locked file. As HostFS does not signal any “file permission” errors (e.g. it will apparently allow you to write to a read-only file on macOS) RPCEmu will loop endlessly trying to delete the locked file/directory.

The workaround is to delete the directory from macOS.

Yes, it is with HostFS, looks like the same macOS issue on a PC?

It is a bit inconvenient to keep switching to the host OS to do this.
