RISC OS 5.28 - ROM - Harddrive

Would this be possible for some one to zip the RISC OS 5.28 ROM, and the hard drive for 5.28 not sure what I’m doing wrong, downloading/installing correctly or not. Would be great if this is possible, also with BBC Emulators, !Zap and !StringEd, anything else that would be helpful in RISC OS programming. Thank you. |

@ Geoff I am not sure what is the exact problem you are experiencing. However, if you need a pre-bundled RISC OS 5 for RPCEmu then the RISC OS Direct bundle is just that. https://www.marutan.net/rpcemu/easystart.html When you have installed the bundle for RISC OS 5.27 without changing anything, you can simply load the 5.28 IOMD flash images from here: https://www.riscosopen.org/content/downloads/riscpc Please note: download the ones called “IOMD 5.28 stable (flash prog)” Open the downloaded zip file and browse inside the unzipped directory until you find a file called riscos. Rename that file to ROM528 (do it in place there and don’t move this file yet) When you’ve done that then in your installed RPCEmu → ROMS (directory) rename ROM527 to xxxROM527 (add some character at the beginning of the name like I have done) Then copy the file you’ve renamed before called ROM28 now in RPCEmu → ROMS and run your RPCEmu. If it asks you to specify a directory with the data then specify the directory path in which you have the ROMS subdirectory and the HostFS subdirectory and please don’t move any of these files around, RPCEmu expect those directories to be in the same subdirectory. Here I have a RPCEmu using RISC OS 5.28 stable and using the HostFS with RISC OS Direct that also includes Emulators and that kind of stuff. Hope this helps. |

If, for whatever reason, your RPCEmu cannot open the HostFS directory, that means you’re missing a subdirectory that needs to be called `poduleroms` Make sure it exists and that it contains these files: hostfs, ffa Good luck! |

Paolo, Thank you for your post, I’m not sure exactly what’s going wrong or if it’s a simple error that I’m making, I will go through your steps and let you know how I get on. Thank you. |
