RPCEmu-0.9.4a - RISC OS 5.27 Direct

I’m currently running RPCEmu-0.9.4a using RISC OS 5.27 Direct distribution, It’s the current RISC OS version that I can run at the moment, but do have some questions if I may. On start up, no real issues here, I have changed the size of the desktop to suit the TV monitor that I’m currently using, I have also change the desktop image to a default one. Once the RISC OS desktop appears there are a number of icons in different locations, just like on a windows machine where you may have shortcuts, I like a nice clean desktop, how do you remove these permanently, I can remove them but when I restart RPCEmu these shortcuts appear again, I have had a look but not sure how to do this. To correctly shut down RISC OS I select shutdown, then if I restart no issues here which I was expecting. |

Once you’ve removed them, click Menu over the pinboard and choose Save (or slide right over Save → and click on OK in the save dialogue). |

I have downloaded the x86 Linux RPCEmu 0.9.4 distribution, including the linked RODirect distribution that comes with RISC OS 5.27. Following installation, an observation, PackMan has as its default source packages all those that relate to the RPi. Also, Zap doesn’t allow you to save its default font settings. Has anyone come across that and know how to solve the issue? Another observation and question. OSLib doesn’t appear in the PackMan list of packages. Does anyone know what the correct source link is? |
