RPCEmu — RO direct "Easy Start" bundle

Having a serious problem with the Windows version of RPCEmu 0.9.4 with the RISC OS Direct “easy start” bundle on Windows (11). The system hardly ever seems to detect a double click — perhaps only one time in three; sometimes it responds as though the shift key is being held down, opening an app’s directory instead of running the app. Also the keyboard repeat rate is much too fast. It makes no difference whether the interpreter or recompiler is used, nor whether “reduce CPU usage” is turned off or not. These issues do not appear on the RO 3.71 bundle on the same machine, nor on the current version when running on Linux. On BOTH Linux and Windows versions, the supplied !Python3 fails with a “branch through zero” error. The version on !PackMan does not. As this is supposed to be for people new to the OS, !Python3 needs to be updated. |

Under Boot Keyboard you can change the keyboard Auto repeat speeds. |

Didn’t know that. But it doesn’t explain why it’s OK on the Linux version or with the RO 3,71 bundle. |
