Hi everyone I am newbie in RISC OS and my very first question in this topic is: I am trying to install RISC OS 6.20 on RPCEMU that running RISC OS 4.02 and it says that I need to install so-called “boot sequence” first. Does anyone know about boot sequences and how to install them in order to get RISC OS 6 installer running? Thanks in advance |

RISC OS 6.20 is soft loaded. The RISC OS 6 rom is only legally available along with its “boot sequence”. You might soon be able to get it again on http://sales.riscos.com/ or from a dealer. According to http://www.marutan.net/rpcemuspoon/manual/romimage.html RISC OS 6 does not work on RPCEmu. RISC OS 5, available on this site, is legally free to use and works on RPCEmu. |

So they haven’t corrected that yet? I’ve had 6.20 running fine here and so have others. You shouldn’t try it with more than 128MB of memory, though, or you’ll lose the mouse pointer. On the other hand, with 5.19 I keep having weird networking problems. |

No, it doesn’t. Just replace the 4.02 ROM images with the 6.20 ROM images. |
