Geminus and RPCEmu

Geminus is an excellent application, which I use on my Pi4B with very satisfactory results, but I recently removed it from my RPCEmu 5.29/0.9.4 setup, when I discovered that its cache was absorbing almost exactly half (129600K) of the 256MB of RAM which is the maximum possible to be setup on my system. There is a speed hit, but I can live with that if it means being able to load, for example, a 185MB Artworks file which failed previously for lack of memory. |

Can’t you just set the maximum cache size to be lower instead? |

Riiight. I feel remarkably stupid. |

🤷 That would mean reading the instructions. Who does that? 😂 |

Does it default to using half of the RAM? That doesn’t sound sensible (written from a Windows perspective, but the concepts are similar). |

As I recall, before I adjusted it down a few hours ago following Chris’s post, max cache size was 256MB. I can’t remember if this was the default, or whether I had set it up that way initially. |
