Boot error with RO 5.22

Hello, I’m using IOMD 5.22 and !Boot from HardDisk4 in RPCEmu on Linux. After installing the !Boot I get
Internal Error: abort on data transfer at &FCD151C
and then then everything stops responding.

You can’t. Only SDFS is supported under RISC OS 5.

I was following the instructions from https://www.riscosopen.org/forum/forums/10/topics/2303 which say to download HardDisc4 to the hostfs directory and then extract it within RISC OS. When rebooting I get as far as the Castle slash screen before things go wrong.

Did you set it to boot from HostFS, i.e. what’s mentioned at point (Configuration) 7? By the way, rebooting won’t work. You need to shut down the emulator and start it anew.

I did indeed, and I’ve restarted the emulator (and reinstalled it, just in case).

Ahh. I just deleted everything in my rpcemu directory and started from scratch and now it works. I must have failed to copy something correctly. Sorry for the false alarm.

Oups sorry. I thought you were using IDE emulation :)
