Mplayer Pop

Hello -

I am wondering why Mplayer pops the audio whenever I open a stream with !NetRadio or open a video with !Mplayer. The same problem exists when I do *Audio Off and then *Audio On and when the machine reboots and I guess the audio is initialized. I am on a PandaBoard ES.
