*configure HardDiscs n

I am trying to copy the contents of a small harddrive from a RiscPC using an Iyonix that has two drives by substituting the RiscPC drive for the secondary drive.
Unfortunately the Iyonix now shows just the RiscPC drive.
I would like to get 2 drives showing so I can copy one to the other but commands *configure harddiscs 2, and *configure idediscs 2, both fail configuration option not recognized.

RISC OS 5 auto-detects IDE drives, so the *configure commands relating to that have been removed (I think only CDFS & floppy drives need manually configuring any more?)

Possible issues I can think of:

• Master/slave jumper misconfiguration. The drive from your RiscPC was probably configured as the master device, if you’re using it in the place of the secondary (slave) device in the Iyonix then the jumper setting on the drive will need adjusting accordingly, otherwise it’ll conflict with the other master device on the same cable.
• Possibly a drive name conflict? Although I think it should at least show both of the drives on the icon bar still
• Some other cabling issue (power/data for the other drive has come lose)

In the event I copied the contents of the harddrive to a USB stick so don’t need to change the links.
