Hello This morning, I installed with !PaclMan the application !SyncDiscs and tried to backup my RiscOS system on an external drive using I lauch the back up, but, as the system seemed to be frozen, I forced an Ctrl-Break after a few minutes. But it turns out that the files were indeed backed up before I force restart the system. Files ‘RoutinesMods:SRDPq’ not found After closing the dialog box, the system seems to run fine so far. I don’t know how to fix this. Thank you for your help. François |

Hi David Well spotted. Something screwed up the !MoreDesk installation. After deleting !MoreDesk and reinstalling it, the problem disappeared. Thank you for pointing me to the solution. Regards François |

If you continue to use !SyncDiscs (although I see in a different thread you also use SafeStore) and have any trouble with it, then please get in touch directly (email is in the help file), since the forum is not the best place to do general support. One comment – were you using SyncDiscs in single or multitasking mode? If the latter, then you should have seen the progress of the backup in the status window. If the former, then as a single tasking process, the machine will effectively be ‘frozen’ until the job is complete. |
